The modding tool GTA V players know goes back to Liberty City. Open the game's archives like folders, find any file, view its textures and models in 3D and export what you need, with your game files left untouched. Both episodes included.

What opens today
Every .img and .rpf archive of the game opens like a folder.
Search finds a file by name across all of them.
Textures show in the preview.
Models turn around in 3D, with their textures.
Export saves any file, texture or model to your PC. The game folder stays as it is.
Archives and texture dictionaries can be edited and saved, the same way as for GTA V.

Questions
Yes, as a beta since RPFView 0.8.0, including The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony. Choose GTA IV when RPFView starts, or later with File → Switch game. Browse and search its .img and .rpf archives, view its textures (.wtd) and its models (.wdr, .wdd, .wft) in 3D, and export files, textures and models. Since RPFView 0.9.0 its archives and textures can be edited too.
There is nothing to set up: RPFView unlocks the archives with your own GTAIV.exe. Support is new, so it is a beta: maps open as text but are not shown in 3D yet, and Drawable Studio does not open its models yet.
No. Opening archives, searching and exporting only read the game's files; nothing in the game folder changes.
GTA V Legacy, and as betas GTA V Enhanced and Red Dead Redemption 2. Choose the game when RPFView starts; File → Switch game changes it later.
