Overview

Clothing
- Thumbnails → Clothing…: one image per drawable and texture variation of the slots you tick, each framed on its own.
- All clothing of a ped: the base game and every DLC pack, numbered like the game (the numbers scripts and FiveM use).
- Or a Folder: a ped folder such as
mp_m_freemode_01, or a FiveM resource'sstreamfolder, one collection at a time.
- Rockstar's placeholders (checkerboard textures, flat stand-in models) are left out.
- Front, three-quarter, side or back view.
Weapons
- Thumbnails → Weapons…: every weapon of the base game and all DLC packs, or one weapon, with its tints, components (on the weapon or on its own), camos and finishes.
- A livery colour for camos that can be recoloured; camos with their own colours keep them.
- Side view (muzzle right or left), three-quarter or top; knives and bats can be laid flat like the guns.
Preview and files
- Preview: every image the choices make, under its slot or weapon and with its file name, drawn as it will be saved. Images the run leaves out are faded.
- PNG, WebP or JPG from 128 to 1024 pixels, with a quality setting; PNG and WebP keep the transparent background, JPG goes on white.
- File names from a pattern such as
{slot}/{drawable}_{texture}or{weapon}, with presets for FiveM: FiveM: game numbers writes the names offivem-greenscreener, FiveM: collections the names of the collection natives. - A run can be stopped; Skip images that already exist continues where it stopped.
Step-by-step guides
- How to make clothing images for a FiveM server
Generate an image of every GTA V clothing item in every texture variation, named the way your FiveM scripts and clothing menus expect, with the Thumbnail Generator.
- How to export images of every GTA V weapon
Make an image of every weapon of the base game and all DLC packs, with its tints, attachments, camos and finishes, named by the names your scripts use.
Questions
Can I export images of clothing and weapons, for example for a server's shop or clothing menu?
Yes, with the Thumbnail Generator in the Thumbnails menu. Clothing… makes an image of every clothing item in every texture variation of the slots you choose, and Weapons… one per weapon, tint, component, camo and finish. A preview shows every image before you start. Images are PNG, WebP or JPG at 128 to 1024 pixels, with a transparent background except for JPG.
File names come from a pattern such as {slot}/{drawable}_{texture} or {weapon}. Clothing is numbered like the game, so the numbers match the ones scripts and FiveM use. Step by step: clothing images and weapon images; more on RPFView for FiveM.
Do the clothing numbers match my FiveM server?
With All clothing of in the Thumbnail Generator they are the game's numbers: every component and prop of the base game and all DLC packs, counted in the game's load order, as SetPedComponentVariation takes them (male top 55 is the police shirt). The FiveM: game numbers preset writes the same names as fivem-greenscreener, such as male_11_55.png and male_prop_0_46.png.
If your scripts use the collection natives (SetPedCollectionComponentVariation …), pick FiveM: collections instead: names such as male_11_male_heist_3.png carry the collection and the item's number inside it, which stay the same when a new DLC pack shifts the game numbers. See RPFView for FiveM.
Can RPFView open the clothing of my own FiveM resource?
Yes. For images, choose Thumbnails → Clothing…, then Folder, and pick the resource's stream folder; to try textures, open a model from it in Drawable Studio. Files such as mp_m_freemode_01_mp_m_mypack^jbib_000_u.ydd are grouped by the collection named before the ^, so male, female and prop files with the same names don't mix, and new texture variations are saved with the same prefix.
Images of stream files are named by collection, such as male_11_mp_m_mypack_0.png, because their game numbers depend on the other clothing on your server.
